Pastor John M. McFarland
John became Christ Covenant RPC’s fifth full-time pastor in mid-2003 after church-planting in California. He studied information systems at Geneva College in the 1980s, prepared for ministry at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in the 1990s, and recently entered the (part-time) Doctor of Ministry program at the same school (to focus on pastoral counseling). John is married to Lisa; they have four daughters and five grandchildren (already!). John counts Francis Schaeffer as a philosophical hero for insisting on wider and wider applications of the Lordship of Christ Jesus in His church & world.
Ruling Elders
As part of the presbyterian model of church government, our congregation appoints ruling elders for the oversight and shepherding of the local body in addition to the office of teaching elder (that is, the office of the pastor). We encourage both members and newcomers to get to know them!
